Up to 50% of medicines for long-term conditions are taken incorrectly. To tackle this challenge, SYFAK (Cooperative of Pharmacists of the Aegean and Crete) partnered with GET2WORK to launch Piktocare—a groundbreaking pharmaceutical labeling service. By enhancing communication between pharmacists and patients, the initiative empowers patients to manage their treatment effectively and safely.
The project leveraged years of scientific research on pictograms and patient communication. Through collaboration with pharmacists, the Piktocare system was tailored to provide concise and reliable information about medication action, precautions, and interactions. This comprehensive approach enabled pharmacies to act as vital hubs for patient education, addressing adherence issues effectively and contributing to safer pharmacotherapy practices.
