Educational Community Digital4Pharma: 4All, Anytime, Anywhere

The pioneering and recognized educational initiative Digital4Pharma, which contributes to the promotion of successful practices, the development of digital skills, and the creation of a culture of innovation for hundreds of professionals in the pharmaceutical market, has been digitally transformed to suit the needs of today’s “who, when, and how.”

Through corporate subscriptions, 530 registered professionals from 23 pharmaceutical companies created the Digital4Pharma educational community for 2021, hosted in a specially designed 3D virtual environment for interaction and monitoring. This year’s thematic program consists of three educational sessions, which were developed live & online on July 9, 16, and October 8, 2021. Leveraging modern technological capabilities, for the first time, participants had the opportunity to speak in real-time during live presentations and/or become part of the panel.

The experience was enhanced by the ability to watch sessions on demand and send questions (until the end of the year), with one in three members of the Digital4Pharma community having already used this feature. Based on online polls at the end of each live presentation, the content was overall rated with (9 out of 10), maintaining consistently high quality and further strengthening the interest and scope of the community.

In the first educational session, titled “Knowledge Journey Talks,” Daniela Malo, President of E.E.Fa.M and Marketing Manager at VIAN, discusses omnichannel readiness, and Sergio Dimitriadis, Professor of Marketing at Athens University of Economics and Business, covers the development of a content plan through the mapping of the “customer’s” journey. Following that, Angeliki Karakiozopoulou addresses the digital transformation of medical education.

In the second educational session, Irini Dimopoulou, Marketing Manager BU Derma at LEO Pharma, focuses on managing social media campaigns targeting patients. The rest of the session is dedicated to the topic “Community-Based Gamification Impact in Healthcare.” Panagiotis Batzioilas, Commercial Team Leader at Novartis Hellas and Vice President of E.E.Fa.M., presents the basic principles adopted by gamification and its benefits. Then, Ioannis Androutsopoulos, GSK MCM Lead, shares the experience of applying the social mobile app “Atrivity” in training sales teams for a new product launch. In his speech, Christos Daramilas, President of the Panhellenic Federation of Societies and Associations of People with Diabetes, presents the digital transformation of the awareness campaign on diabetes, “We Score a Goal in Health,” and its results.

At the end of this session, Konstantinos Varsamos, Managing Partner at GET2WORK, presents the positive results and key findings from the application of social mobile gamification in Greece and abroad with Healthcare Professionals (doctors, pharmacists). Meanwhile, all live participants had the opportunity for an experiential experience by participating in a quiz competition with the mobile app “Diabetes Quiz Academy.”

The third and final educational session, titled “Unlocking the Digital Experience,” kicks off with an interesting talk by Panos Bassios, Digital, Data & Analytics Director at MSD, titled “A Big Experience for Small Heroes,” regarding the Augmented Reality experience created through mobile apps for childhood vaccination. Then, Panos Beretsos, Global Group Director for Digital Innovation & Operational Excellence in Medical Communications, gives a presentation titled “Digital Innovation in Medical Communication during Conferences.” Finally, Nikos Kontis, Managing Director at LEAP, concludes the series of talks with a demonstration of technological capabilities on the topic “Unlocking the Digital Experience.”

The Digital4Pharma experience continues on demand (until December 31, 2021), providing new participants the opportunity for interaction in the virtual reception space, viewing educational sessions, and sending questions to the speakers.

The Digital4Pharma educational initiative is organized by GET2WORK under the auspices of the Hellenic Society of Pharmaceutical Management (E.E.Fa.M.).
